We loved our stay at Battiste Bed, Breakfast and Birds. The accommodations were beautiful and very comfortable. The food abundant and our host thoughtful, trusting and a wealth of knowledge about birding. What a find this place is. We look forward to returning in the future. The Bible says hospitality is a gift and Tony, you and Julie have been blessed with that gift. May all your guests be as blessed by you as we were.

Dear Tony and Julie, I thank the heavens for the rainy weather that gave us a break from grain harvest and your website that helped us find our way here. Tony, your enthusiasm for birding is contagious! Though we are casual birders, your directions and advice were "spot on" for us. Your attention to landscaping for nature is great as Julie's attention to the lovely creature comfort details. Not just a touch of chocolate but a Choice. If your B&B were a Texas school, your rating would be exemplary.


Tony, How can we possibly thank you enough for making our first AZ birding experience so wonderful! You made us feel completely comfortable and your hospitality, guidance and kindness will never be forgotten. We will always remember our exciting "record breaking"  day spent together with you, Chris and Diane,. What fun we had!! Dear Ton and Julie-Well now you've gone and done it. I(we) arrived bird ignorant but I am leaving a converted amateur birder. I will never look at nor listen to another bird the same again. You know I've got it bad when I am willing to "bird sing" for you to find out its species. Tony,let me know when you need my help and I'll be out. Although your home, property and birds have a lot to offer, it is evident that it is your hospitality that sets this place apart from the rest. It was a treat to experience your interactions with the other guests. An outsider would never have been able to tell which of us was family. We enjoyed meeting Shelley and Ted on the Garden Canyon trip & of course seeing the Spotted Owl. Julie and Tony- What a wonderful six day visit. We have found a wonderful place of relaxation. The bird watching and photography is excellent. Our little house is beautifully appointed. Thought was given to the smallest detail. You Julie, and Tony were definitely the host with the "mostest". You both are so gracious and giving of your time and knowledge. We can't wait to come back so we'll be back in 3 days! We're excited about coming back next year for longer period of time. Were trying hard to maintain our health so we can enjoy our new home away from home-good friends, photography and accommodations. What more could we want?
